In retrospect; our releases:
Staying true to the heritage of 90’s Sokol Keep, a series of session recordings produced in an authentic old-school medium
Equally, it is also an opportunity to highlight some striking - if overlooked - artists in the various associated soundscapes of the dark ambient domain of dungeon-synth
No frills just solid DS
Historical note:
After the release of 2 albums in the 90’s and enjoying a more local UK and cult status - imminently to sign to Cacophonous Records following renowned Cradle of Filth’s signing - Symphony of Discord went their own separate ways. Ren o’ the Blade founded Sokol Keep, releasing Demonic Horde in 1998, followed by Fear not the dark, but shadows via HELLations, invoked in one session upon cold stone and under lantern light at Gypsy Lane Crypt in August 1998. This was a dark ambient release, influenced by electronic masters Tangerine Dream and early metal projects combining metal, synths and dark fantasy such as UK barbarians Bal Sagoth. Sokol Keep conjured an early dungeon-synth sound combined with atmospheric metal and influences of medieval & vampyric ds, before these associated genre names were coined.
You have my axe. Sokol Keep fosters inclusion and is against NSBM | Fuck Nazis. Ride dragons. Be kind to one another
